Janus International announces Noke Infinite, a Bluetooth and NFC smart lock for storage units

Why this matters: our read

A launch announcement, so everything here is Janus's description. The end-of-life unlock matters most to an operator, and the release's mixed wording on Bluetooth versus NFC leaves open how tenants would actually do it.

Janus International Group announced Noke Infinite on April 6, 2026, a battery-powered smart lock for self-storage doors. The company’s press release calls it the latest addition to its Noke Smart Entry line and says it combines Bluetooth with the power-harvesting function of near-field communication (NFC).

Janus says tenants can still unlock by phone after the battery reaches end of life, which it puts at five years. The release is inconsistent on how: its lead names Bluetooth and NFC, while its benefits list names NFC only. Janus calls the lock the first and only one of its type: battery-powered, connected, built for self-storage, and reachable by tenants over both Bluetooth and NFC.

Janus claims an antenna four times stronger than earlier Noke battery locks, 50% less power when unlocked, and installation up to 50% faster than other battery-powered smart locks. The release gives no test method or independent comparison.

The release says the lock was designed for Janus doors in new construction and retrofit, and that its beveled body needs no changes to them. It is silent on other brands’ doors. It gives no price. Janus said in April it expected the lock to ship in the third quarter of 2026. That quarter ended in September, and the release does not say whether shipments began.
